I subscribe to a few inspirational email lists. As a result, I get inspiring quotations every day to start my day. One that impressed me today was this: Gratitude is the heart's money. --French proverb
Gratitude IS the heart's money. When we feel gratitude, we are truly rich. The fullness of gratitude is sometimes overwhelming and leaks out in tears of emotion. Moments like this raise us up.
During last Saturday's talk, Del Hargis was talking about how we need to look at our problems and challenges in life from a higher perspective than that which brought them into being. Well, the best way to look at ALL of our life situations and experiences is through the eyes of gratitude.
Every challenge has a gift inherent in it. Every challenge makes us stronger, better, and brings us closer to where we are going. But if we are in the midst of the challenge, just wishing we could get out of it, chances are we won't see that at all, and will just create more of the same.
As I was reminded on Tuesday night, when Charles Hosea spoke at our Regional Training Followup meeting, as long as we keep that shining vision ahead of us, we will have the perseverance to continue, no matter what. That vision will guide us through the difficult patches and into our glorious dreams come true.
I am so grateful to be surrounded by the folks in the Nouveau Riche community, who continually show me the way, supporting me in the journey and celebrating the victories.

After the Regional Training....
What a phenomenal weekend! I will definitely get into specifics in the days to come, but for now, I am just integrating all of the information I took in.
I learned from every speaker. In summary:
From Dave Blanchard, I witnessed him as a coach in action, and I saw why he is a phenomenal coach. His heart is definitely in the right place, and he really cares about helping/serving the person with whom he is working. I saw it, and I will remember that for all of my own future dealings.
From Dr. Steven Clegg, I learned better how to approach my friends and family, something I have been struggling with. He also gave us some great tips on how to work with cold market that I will be incorporating immediately.
From Del Hargis, my own previous studies of the power of beliefs and thoughts and the Law of Attraction were again validated. Del excites me because he DARES to bring this information forward, thus expanding consciousness of all of those who listen, as well as bringing it forth into the collective consciousness of the world. This is what will shift us, and I watch him as a shining example for myself.
From Jim Piccolo, our CEO, I was able to see the human more than the figurehead, if that makes sense. I saw his expressions as he talked about his life. I saw the light in his eyes, and his genuineness. I am grateful that he taught us by example. I feel like I grew a lot due to his talk.
And our own leadership - Charles Hosea always touches hearts in the warmest of ways. Marc Gleeman was a wonderful force in keeping everything running smoothly, and Travis Hoover added his own brand of warmth and humor to the training.
I feel like more of the community than ever, and I know I came away with a whole slew of new tools to use in my business.
And, I am SO grateful for all of my guests who showed up and got such an awesome taste of our wonderful community.
Phenomenal weekend!

SEEK
To continue with some of my previous experiences in Nouveau Riche....
Over a year ago, my two sons (now in their 20's), my partner, and I began talking about opening a comic book store in Scottsdale. We didn't take it too seriously at the time, and didn't do anything about it. In Spring of 2008, my son Sean and I were talking, and he mentioned to me that he liked the idea of running a business, and wouldn't mind revisiting the comic book store idea. I brought it up to his brother Andy, and my partner, Avery, and we all agreed it would be a fun venture, so we started having weekly meetings to plan it.
We had gotten to the point where I was calculating financial projections and needed to have an idea of how much to budget for rent, so we started looking at spaces.
Well, around the time I signed up for Nouveau Riche, we found the perfect space. We weren't really ready to take action yet, but we knew that this was the space meant for us. All four of us felt that way! We had to have financing in place and a business plan on the desk of the landlord in just a few days.
I started researching business plans, and spent nearly 72 hours straight working on ours. Then I remembered SEEK - the Super Entrepreneurial Encyclopedia of Knowledge. SEEK had information about business plans AND obtaining financing.
I put together a great business plan, and brought it to an investor friend, who bought into it right away, lending us the start up costs and reserves we needed to get started. I also sent it to the landlord, who approved us right away. WOW!
We had some buildout to do so got started on that. We also had other considerations - like the computer system we would use, inventory tracking, accounting, etc. etc.; and then of course, getting the word out.
SEEK took us through all of that.
And here we are, six months later, with Comic Zone (http://www.ComicZoneAZ.com), and we are loving it!
SEEK is a most amazing product that I highly recommend to all business owners who want to succeed!

Three More Days
Three more days to the big event - our Regional Training on May 15th and 16th.
I am SO looking forward to this. I have heard most of the speakers in the past and I know the quality to expect. I know that I will learn important things about myself as well as better ways to market.
The fact that it is taking place at the Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort doesn't hurt either. That place is beautiful! It is surrounded by mountains, and the resort itself is well-renowned as one of the better resorts in town. I am excited that the training is at that location.
I have been chosen to be on the decorating committee, and I've had a blast helping with that. Here is a sneak preview of the main floral bouquet:

Building for this event has also been really fun. My goal is to have 20 people at the event. Currently I have 17 people who have agreed to attend. That gives me two days to find three more folks to turn on to this incredible training. And then I get to watch it transform their lives. :)

How's Business?
This week, May 15th & 16th, is Nouveau Riche's big Regional Training seminar right here in Phoenix. I can't wait. What a line up of speakers we have! Anyone who wants to improve their business can benefit from this!
Learn about starting and running a successful business from Jim Piccolo who currently owns and runs over 40 successful companies.
Learn sales and marketing techniques from Dave Blanchard, President of the OG Group (Og Mandino was the author of the classic: The Greatest Salesman in the World).
Achieve a healthy dose of motivation from Del Hargis, a nationally known personal development and business coach
Hear how Dr. Steven Clegg has successfully invested in real estate and how our acclaimed real estate education programs were a key component to his success
Listen to the heartfelt motivational stories of Charles Hosea, who migrated to the US from a third world country and has gone on run two successful businesses and earn an envious income.
Do you want to know how you can improve your skills? Are you interested in re-invigorating yourself with personal growth and motivation and leave ready to re-engage in the challenges you face in your life in a new way? Could this be the life changing event you've been waiting for?
And if you'd like to know more about real estate investing, then I can personally testify that Nouveau Riche is an amazing company with a network of successful real estate investors committed to helping each other to learn, grow, and invest wisely. If you know me at all, you know I am not a "pushy salesperson type" but I am truly interested in helping others find those multiple passive income streams, and I know that real estate is one of the most sound if it is done right.
So, if you’d like to find out how real estate investing can help you build passive income, no matter what your business, please contact me!
The price for this weekend is $150 which is ridiculously inexpensive, given the fact that each of the speakers commands at least $1000 - $2000 any time they speak! I feel so fortunate to hear these speakers at this low price!
And, as an event sponsor, I can get you complimentary seats, but they are limited and by invitation only. So if you or anyone you know would like to attend, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Please contact me with any questions you might have about this life-changing event! My email is linda@lcostello.com, and my direct phone line is 602.722.2562.
I look forward to seeing you there. :)

Actual R/E deals in NR
Wow. I wanted to fill in more details about my past experiences, but this is a dynamic business, and Jorge, one of my mentors, recently posted this video and this one, and finally this one although if you are going to call the number on the screen, I'd rather you call extension 2004, as that one is MY extension. :)
These are my friends, who are doing a real estate deal together. How cool is that???

How I came to Nouveau Riche
I had heard about Nouveau Riche over the years. I was actively involved in the real estate investment community since 2003, and went to many trade shows where Nouveau Riche had a booth. But I never really saw what they had to offer that I wasn't already getting elsewhere.
So when my dear friend, Suzanne, showed up at one of my Think and Grow Rich Master Mind groups in May 2008, gushing about this new company she had heard about, I was, to say the least, a bit skeptical. She tried really hard to get me to come to a meeting, but I wasn't open to it.
One night in August 2008, she casually emailed me that there was a meeting that Thursday night and asked if I wanted to come and just check out the company. I invited my 21 year old son to come with me, and we both sat through this most incredible two hour presentation! Both of us saw the opportunity. My son had been wanting to get more educated in real estate investing, and he saw this as that opportunity. I saw a different opportunity. I saw that the whole system was really quite an ingenious wealth building system, and that intrigued me.
I had been working at the same company for 10 years as their CFO. I had 35 years of accounting experience, but one of my true passions is in psychology; psychology because I want to help people live the lives they are meant to live. I saw that by marketing Nouveau Riche's products, I could definitely help people live the lives they were meant to live.
And as it happens, I had just paid down my credit cards, so I had enough money to put the education on my credit card, and I bought it that night.
Since then, my son has been learning more and more about real estate investing, and he is chomping at the bit to get started. I have been honing my skills as a marketer, which has been a bit more of a learning curve than I had expected, but the gifts I have gained from the process have been priceless.
I am developing a greater level of self-confidence and ease in talking to people. Remember, I was an accountant for 35 years! I was really good at sitting in a corner with my calculator and my spreadsheets! I had to push myself past all sorts of fears and blocks. Talk about stretching myself!
And I am succeeding! I am turning more and more people on to this awesome opportunity, as well as venturing out to do deals with others in the community. It is very exciting. Just this month, I have generated over $10,000 in commissions!
I am so glad that I got over my cynicism and took a chance.
