The October college has come and gone, and I took many great classes. This time, though, I did it a bit differently. This time, I worked as a door monitor for most of the classes I attended. I loved being a door monitor!
Basically, a door monitor is one of the people who keeps track of who enters the classroom, checking ID's and assisting students and instructor, and hands out the class materials. It's not very complicated, but it does need to be done and done well. As door monitors, we are representing Nouveau Riche college, and it's important that we exhibit professionalism and the high standards that the college is known for.
I met some great new people who also worked as door monitors. We all formed a team relationship so that we could get everything accomplished smoothly. For my last day of classes, I was lucky enough to have been paired with Ruben, my partner on the triplex, which was a great way for us to get caught up as well as the enjoyment of working together in this new way.
All in all, my already rich Nouveau Riche college experience was even further enriched by the service I offered to others. Just like the products we sell - win/win/win for all involved.
